Friday 19 September:
CBC 9PM (9:30PM Newfoundland) - 4th Series Premiere!
SciFi Channel UK http://www.scifi.co.uk has a 3 day Bank Holiday weekend marathon of classic Doctor Who (23 to 25 August) coming up, which implies a new home for Classic Doctor Who in the UK as autumn approaches.
SciFi Channel Germany http://www.scifi.de repeats Series 1 (the Eccleston episodes) 4 days at week at 8:15PM and 12ishAM CET starting Thursday 7 August. The episodes are full length, dubbed in German.
SciFi Channel Netherlands http://www.scifi-tv.nl has obtained the first run rights to Series 3 of Doctor Who for the Netherlands. A 2 episode premiere with the 1965 Peter Cushing Dalek movie begin airing on the channel on 16 September, with many same week repeats. 1 episode per week thereafter. Series 2 premiered on Nederland 2.
SciFi Channel USA http://www.scifi.com did air the Series 4 finale (Journey's End) essentially complete as promised. The commercial breaks were oddly placed but did not cut out any footage. The trailer for the Christmas 2008 episode was removed (SciFi has not announced if they purchased the episode yet). The credits were squeezed (they were there, just shrunk to make room for ads), and there were a number of ads for other programs at the bottom of the screen during the show. But the full story was there. Thanks for giving the episode the extra time, SciFi. Series 3 repeats continue early Friday at 5AM EDT, with other repeats airing as Daytime marathons once or twice a month.
Does anybody know the status of the channel Jimmy in Italy? There are
some reports that the channel may be ceasing to exist in September,
which would be before they finish the current premiere run of Doctor
Who (Series 3) and Torchwood (Series 2). Is the channel going away?
If so, where are the programmes going?
Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week
column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood .

your provider may offer this service. Based on the paucity of

US, with emphasis on fitting in Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica,

in new episodes on SciFi. Everything is based on US premiere dates
rather than UK. Approximately 90 minutes per episode. Show airs live

matters.

West, Dave AC, Colin, and other Doctor Who fans liked the live Doctor
Who: Podshocks so much that they wanted to keep talking afterwards.
The resulting show covers Doctor Who, anything else sci-fi related,
and can go wildly off in all directions.
July 27 episode - Adapting TV shows to movies and movies to TV shows.
Sunday 2PM EDT (11AM PDT, 7PM BST) - Journey's End has aired on
SciFi. How did people react to SciFi airing an episode complete? Will
the shrinkage of the closing credits, removal of the Christmas
trailer, and choices for commercial breaks that gave the illusion of
editing (when nothing was cut) make people believe the episode was
edited? Was that the largest number of bottom of the screen promos in
a Doctor Who episode ever? With more cast members revealed for the US
version of Life On Mars, will a discussion on Ashes To Ashes break
out?
Radio Free Skaro http://radiofreeskaro.wordpress.com
The 3 Canadians get together on Sundays for about an hour to discuss
the latest in Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane in a fairly
amusing manner. Format seems to be extending to commentaries of
Classic Who on quiet weeks - stay tuned.
Current episode - #93 - The Talons Of Weng-Chiang commentary, part 2
of 2. A tirade on President George W. Bush, podcasts advertising
themselves (which is how I learned about Radio Free Skaro, guys), and
other things that annoy them, tempered with the odd comment on The
Talons Of Weng-Chiang, how good it is, but how racist parts of it
accidentally are.
Sunday or Monday - #94 - Commentary on Robot. Expect snarky comments
on various topics, including SPACE's decision to only air Torchwood
once in a week, assuming they learn about that decision in time.
A Podcast Of Impossible Things
http://podcastofimpossiblethings.blogspot.com
Cardiff-based Doctor Who fans get together to discuss the latest
Doctor Who and do a full length commentary on new Doctor Who episodes.
Current episode - Journey's End (posted 9 July). A correspondent time
travels, giving his thoughts on the episode from weeks back before he
had to move out of Cardiff for the time being.
Next episode - There will be more episodes after a brief hiatus.
Classic and current Who episodes will get commentaries.
